Dr. Laura Dean, obstetrician/gynecologist with Stillwater Medical Group, was recognized by Minnesota Physician Publishing as one of Minnesota’s 100 Influential Healthcare Leaders 2008. This honor recognizes the contributions and leadership Dr. Dean has provided over the past four years.

Dr. Dean is a member of the national ACOG Committee on Obstetric Practice, whose work is vital for practice guidelines, quality improvement and patient safety. She is an advocate for strengthening physicians’ voice in the state’s healthcare reform debate. Locally she also works to improve care for women who experience miscarriage and pregnancy loss.

Minnesota Physician Publishing is a Minneapolis-based company that produces several journals that benefit the regional healthcare delivery system. They released the list in their August 2008 edition of Minnesota Physician. It will also run in the September 2008 edition of Minnesota Health Care News. Nominations are accepted from their readership every four years. The recognition is a reflection of the diversity of healthcare leadership in the state.
